Job summary

CME Associates is seeking a Structures Project Manager to lead structural engineering projects, primarily in transportation. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality outcomes.

Applicants should have a structural/civil engineering degree, PE/SE licensure, and a track record of managing complex projects across multiple states. A hybrid work setup and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • PE or SE license required.
  • 15+ years in structural engineering and project management.
  • Proven track record of managing structural projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software OpenBridge/LEAP, MIDAS, OpenRoads, MicroStation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience working in multiple states is a plus.
  • Project and/or client management experience is required.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and participate in design/detailing.
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Detail-oriented team player with urgency and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving technical challenges.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Provide clients with technical support and subject matter expertise on transportation structures related issues.
  • Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects primarily in, but not limited to, the transportation market.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., OpenBridge/LEAP, MIDAS, OpenRoads, MicroStation).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience working in multiple states is a plus.
  • Project and/or client management experience is required.
  • Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of all aspects of small- to large-scale structural projects of varying technical complexity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, as well as time management skills.Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs and deadlines, as well as other assigned project parameters.
