Job summary

SIX MILE, LLC in Kodiak, AK is seeking a Structures Maintenance Helper to assist skilled maintenance trades with general duties in a dynamic on-site environment.

You will support journeyman plumbers, electricians, HVAC, and carpentry teams, helping with repairs, routine maintenance, and safety compliance. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required, with at least one year of relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working in relevant Maintenance Trades field.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supplies materials and tools to Journeyman worker.
• Assist plumber journeyman worker on site with repairs or replacement of sinks, faucets, toilets; may assist in securing water supply for fixture or appliance repair or replacement.
• Assists electrical journeyman worker on site with maintenance and repair of electrical issues as directed. Replaces bulbs and without supervision.
• Assists HVAC journeyman worker on site with diagnosing issues and preventative maintenance.
• Assists appliance journeyman with routine maintenance and transporting appliance.
• Assist carpentry journeyman on site with carpentry repair and routine maintenance.
• Perform specialized machine operation or routine maintenance with specific direction from the trade’s journeyman worker on site.
• All other relevant duties assigned.
