Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a structures engineer to join the turbomachinery team and advance power generation capability. You’ll analyze static components and define a manufacturable, high-efficiency design, collaborating across cross-functional partners to ensure robust performance.

As an early hire, you will influence design decisions on system architecture, enjoy equity ownership, generous PTO, onsite meals, PPE stipend, and rapid career growth in a high-impact startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of structural analysis experience.
• Experience with ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus.
• Experience with high-temperature components and materials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structural margins across operating conditions and transients.
• Size components for adequate strength.
• Select materials balancing capability, lead time, and cost.
