Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Mechanical Structures Engineer at the entry to mid-level to join our on-site team in Dulles, VA. You will assist engineers in designing spacecraft structures and related hardware, using CAD tools and GD&T principles, through design, manufacturing, and integration phases.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree and US citizenship, with travel up to 10% and no remote work. On-site schedule is 9/80.

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain government clearance.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably CREO; knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Work on spacecraft structures, payload, and antenna mechanical hardware from requirements through integration and test.
  • Develop detailed designs using CAD and document designs for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Interface with customers, program and functional management, other engineering disciplines, and suppliers.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
