Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic to maintain, repair, inspect, and alter company-operated aircraft and related components. You will verify part numbers and serials, ensure documentation compliance with FAR 145 and internal policies, and participate in SMS improvements.

The role requires 2–5 years of aircraft structures experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably an FAA A&P license.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' aircraft structures experience

• FAA A&P license in good standing preferred
• FAR 145 operations preferred
• Ability to read and interpret 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, etc.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with ERP systems (Ramco) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company aircraft and components
• Inspect and repair per procedures, ADs, SBs, and FAR 145 requirements
• Verify part numbers and serials with documentation
• Ensure maintenance docs comply with FARs and company policies
• Participate in SMS improvements and lean initiatives
• Maintain a clean, professional work area
• Mentor less-experienced mechanics
• Assist in 145 shop LEAN activities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft and articles as assigned
• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
• Upon installation or removal of any component or assembly, verifies part number and serial number match the associated documentation
• Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
• Participates in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS)
• Maintains work area in a clean and professional manner
• Utilizes Air Method’s EAP system (Ramco) to account for time on task accurately
• Identifies all needed parts, tools and supplies for non-routine discrepancy findings
• Performs maintenance on 145 shop’s support equipment
• Mentors and trains less experienced Mechanics
• Participates in 145 shop LEAN process improvements

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• 2 to 5 years' aircraft structures experience is required
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
• FAR 145 operations preferred
• Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
• Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
• Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
• Ability to learn and utilize the company’s ERP system (Ramco)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
• FAA A&P License in good standing (preferred)
• Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
