Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced aircraft rotor maintenance technician in the United States who performs inspections and repairs per procedures, directives, and FAR 145 requirements. The role requires 5 to 7 years of rotor experience and an active A&P license.

You will verify part numbers, document maintenance in Ramco ERP, mentor less experienced mechanics, and participate in LEAN and Safety Management System initiatives while supporting 24/7 on-call coverage.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 5 to 7 years of aircraft rotor maintenance experience.
  • Active/current A&P license (preferred).
  • FAA A&P license in good standing.
  • IA (Inspection Authorization) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components per procedures, directives, and FARs.
  • Verifies by inspection/markings that part numbers and serials match documentation.
  • Ensures maintenance documentation complies with FARs, company policies, and manuals.
  • Participates in the SMS and LEAN improvements program.
  • Maintains a clean, professional work area.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced mechanics.
  • Uses Ramco ERP to account for time on task.
  • Identifies needed parts, tools, and supplies for non-routine discrepancies.
  • Maintains 145 shop’s support equipment.
  • Works flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Reads and interprets 337s, service bulletins, and ADs.
  • Learns and utilizes the Ramco ERP system.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Upon installation or removal of any component or assembly, verifies by physical inspection or markings on the part that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation
  • Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals to include specific chapters
  • Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures
  • Maintains work area in a clean and professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Utilizes Air Method’s EAP system (Ramco) to account for time on task accurately
  • Identifies all needed parts, tools, and supplies for non-routine discrepancy findings
  • Performs maintenance on 145 shop’s support equipment
  • Mentors and trains less experienced mechanics
  • Actively participates in 145 shop LEAN process improvements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 5 to 7 years of aircraft rotor maintenance experience (required)
  • Active/current A&P (preferred)
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools (preferred)FAR 145 operations (preferred)
  • Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration‑balancing skills
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337’s, service bulletins, AD’s, etc.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotation
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper‑based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Ability to learn and utilize the company’s ERP system (Ramco)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
  • FAA A&P license in good standing
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) (preferred)
