Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform inspections and repairs on aircraft and components in compliance with FARs, service bulletins, and ADs. You will verify parts, maintain records, and work within the ERP Ramco system.

You must hold an active FAA A&P license, communicate effectively, and be available for overtime and on-call shifts to keep fleet readiness high.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active FAA A&P license required.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret 337s, SBs, ADs, and maintenance docs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be flexible for overtime and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and repairs per maintenance procedures and regulations.
• Verify part numbers and serial numbers against documentation.
• Maintain compliant maintenance records per FARs and manuals.
• Contribute to SMS continuous improvement.
• Keep work area clean and professional.
• Advise PIC of issues that could take aircraft out of service.
• Raise requests for parts to maintain stock levels.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Upon installation or removal of any component or assembly, verify by physical inspection that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation.
• Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.
• Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
• Maintains work area in a clean and professional manner.
• Responsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed by management.
• Advises the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.
• Validates or confirms the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft he or she is working on.
• Requests aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate inventory of stock items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred, active/current A&P required.
• FAR 135 operations preferred.
• Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing.
• Sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
• Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information.
• Ability to learn and utilize the Company’s ERP system (Ramco).
• Strong communication skills.
• FAA A&P License in good standing.
