Job summary

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, implement IEP goals, collect data, and support both academic and functional skills while partnering with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Maine State Certification 282 required and valid background checks.
• Valid Maine Criminal History Records Check.
• Knowledge and experience writing IEPs and collecting data.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, predictable classroom environment with clear routines and consistent expectations.
• Program for students with academic and functional needs.
• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Collect and utilize data to inform instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Supervise and manage educational technicians in the special education classroom and during mainstreaming.
• Collaborate with support staff during referral meetings and with general education colleagues.
• Experience with de-escalation strategies, preferably Safety Care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with families about student progress and participate in IEP meetings.
