Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Structured Investments and Annuities Coverage Attorney to join its Legal team in the United States. The role focuses on regulatory compliance and sophisticated investment products, partnering with business lines to support growth and risk management.

The attorney will negotiate with issuers and users, assess regulatory risk, and provide cross-functional guidance across global operations, including cross-border considerations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules.
• Bar admission in New York or another state.
• Law firm or broker-dealer experience with structured products is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Willingness to learn in an evolving business environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented with big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate complex agreements with counterparties on structured investments and annuities.
• Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk for products and fintech services.
• Advise Structured Investments and Annuities business teams on initiatives and day-to-day matters.
• Analyze cross-border regulatory requirements and advise on compliance.
