Structuring Manager – Solar Project Acquisitions (Remote)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Type: Full-Time | Renewable Energy | Solar M&A

We're looking for a Structuring Manager to join a fast-growing solar platform focused on acquiring and developing distributed generation portfolios—with a strong focus on community solar.

This is not a role for someone just looking to pivot into M&A. We’re looking for someone who has led solar project acquisitions, worked cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, and can hit the ground running on multiple concurrent transactions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead acquisition transactions for early- to mid-stage solar assets (primarily community solar and DG)
• Own the deal process from concept to close: origination support, valuation, diligence, modeling, contract negotiation, and execution
• Coordinate across functions: finance, legal, development, and construction teams
• Prepare and present internal investment memos and risk assessments
• Track market trends, regulatory programs, and solar policy impacting acquisition strategy
• Manage relationships with developers and other counterparties across diverse U.S. markets
• Support project finance efforts and internal approval processes

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of solar industry experience, with at least 1+ year leading M&A or project acquisition transactions
• Deep understanding of solar project contracts (MIPAs, leases, PPAs/subscription agreements, interconnection)
• Proven experience evaluating community solar and/or DG-scale assets
• Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously across different states and stakeholders
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel proficiency required)
• Effective communicator with project management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to travel as needed
