Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a Senior Analyst, Structured Finance in a hybrid U.S. role spanning Austin, Denver, and San Francisco. You will own project finance models for tax equity and debt financing, support capital raising through to financial close, and prepare investor materials for tax equity lenders.

The position emphasizes rigorous financial modeling, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams and external advisors to drive successful renewable energy transactions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in project finance, structured finance, investment banking, consulting, or renewable energy development.
• Strong Excel-based financial modeling skills (modeling test included in interview process).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
• Understanding of tax equity or renewable project finance structures preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and communication skills.
• Interest in renewable energy and the energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain project finance financial models for tax equity and debt financing processes.
• Support capital raising activities from initial marketing through financial close.
• Prepare marketing materials for tax equity investors and lenders.
• Manage transaction data rooms and due diligence processes across internal teams and external advisors.
• Validate project inputs in financial models related to revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Support term sheet negotiations through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Assist in preparing investment committee materials for key project milestones.
• Provide financial analysis supporting PPA execution, procurement strategy, design optimization, and EPC negotiations.
• Track industry trends, market transactions, and competitive activity.
