Job summary

Technibus, Inc. is seeking a Communications Technician I to join our team in the Texas Temple area.

The role involves installing outlets for floors, walls, and modular furniture, routing cables, and performing pre-termination procedures with attention to labeling and slack management. You will build closets, mount racks and patch panels, and terminate low-voltage devices while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• 0–1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Must learn to effectively use the listed tools.
• Ability to meet driving standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install work area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls; drop cables and route through furniture.
• Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, dress, label cables; manage cable slack.
• Build closets, mount backboards, racks, patch panels, and grounding.
• Terminate low-voltage devices and complete IES paperwork on time.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards; perform other assigned tasks.
