Facility Solutions Group Inc is hiring a Structured Cabling Technician to install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The role requires meeting physical demands and delivering excellent customer service while growing with the company.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience, and a valid driver’s license. Drug/background screening, BICIS, manufacturer training, and OSHA experience are preferred.

• Ability to pass drug and background screening.
• Some employers prefer BICIS certification, manufacturer training and OSHA familiarity.

Mansioni

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling systems.
• Identify, track and remove abandoned cables.
• Test every newly installed or relocated cable per procedures.
• Keep cables neat and bundled while following safety standards.
• Record time and materials used.
• Assist team with installation and maintenance.
• Work outdoors in varying weather, at heights and in confined spaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.

Overview

As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the work site as well as provide excellent customer service. We are looking for career-minded candidates who are willing to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system
• issues
• Identify, track and remove abandoned cables
• Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures
• Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards
• Develop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standards
• Record time and materials used
• Assist other members of the team with installation and maintenance
• Be able to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small confined spaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass drug and background screen
• BICIS preferred
• Manufacturer training preferred
• OSHA preferred

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
