Job summary

Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician to install, maintain and repair cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and the ability to work on-site in varying conditions.

You will perform preventive maintenance, identify and remove abandoned cables, test new or relocated cables, and assist teammates with installation. A high school diploma and one year of experience are required, plus a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in cabling or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass drug/background screens.
• BICSI, Manufacturer training, and OSHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling systems.
• Identify, track and remove abandoned cables.
• Test every newly installed or relocated cable per procedures.
• Record time and materials used.
• Assist team with installation and maintenance.
• Work outdoors in varying weather, at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
• Develop knowledge of National Building Codes and standards.

Overview

As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the work site as well as provide excellent customer service. We are looking for career-minded candidates who are willing to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system
• issues
• Identify, track and remove abandoned cables
• Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures
• Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards
• Develop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standards
• Record time and materials used
• Assist other members of the team with installation and maintenance
• Be able to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small confined spaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass drug and background screen
• BICIS preferred
• Manufacturer training preferred
• OSHA preferred
