Job summary

AV Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technicians for contract opportunities in the Greater Phoenix area. Temp positions require traveling to Tempe, Phoenix, Mesa and surrounding sites, with 40 hours a week and on-site work in data centers.

Pay ranges $23.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience, with equipment provided and job-specific training available. Applicants should have at least one year of related experience and a valid driver’s license for

Qualifications

  • At least one year of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience.
  • Strong cable pulling, cable dressing, and cable termination skills.
  • Experience with copper and/or fiber-optic cabling.
  • IDF/MDF build out experience is a plus.
  • Fiber splicing experience is not required; training is provided.
  • BICSI certification is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Tempe worksite.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely in an active data center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install Cat3, Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber-optic cabling systems.
  • Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
  • Assist with IDF/MDF build outs.
  • Test and troubleshoot copper and single-mode/multi-mode fiber cabling.
  • Install outlets, connectors, grounding infrastructure, and fire stopping.
  • Read blueprints, floor plans, and installation specifications.
  • Follow ANSI, TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, and local standards.
  • Maintain a safe, professional work environment and follow all site procedures.

Structured Cabling / Low Voltage Technician

Tempe, Arizona

Primary Work Location: Data Center

AV Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technicians for contract opportunities with a leading technology solutions provider supporting projects throughout the Greater Phoenix AZ area (within a 50 mile radius)

Location & Travel Requirement

This is a field-based position requiring travel to customer work sites throughout the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area . Technicians must have reliable transportation and be willing to work at various project locations, including Tempe, Phoenix, Mesa and surrounding areas.

Work locations are determined by project needs, and technicians must be willing to travel to assigned work sites throughout the Greater Phoenix area.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
