Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician II - Structured Cabling in Tempe to lead small teams of installers and perform advanced cabling tasks. The role requires coordinating daily workload while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Pay ranges from USD 29.00 to USD 30.00 per hour, with opportunities to supervise crew and oversee project timelines. Prior fiber optic experience is recommended, along with the ability to read blueprints and complete paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 4–6 years experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Ability to supervise others and lead crews.

Responsibilities

• Install outlets, terminate jacks, mount face plates and boxes according to standards.
• Build racks, cross-connects, patch panels, grounding as required.
• Perform continuity tests and troubleshoot cabling issues.
• Identify active voice/data circuits and coordinate crew performance.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards.
