Job summary

Structured Cabling / Low Voltage Technician, Tempe, AZ is needed to install, maintain, test, and repair voice, data, video, and fiber-optic cabling systems at customer locations. This hands-on field role reports to a Lead Technician.

Pay ranges from $23-$30 per hour based on experience. Schedule is full-time with possible evenings, weekends, overtime, and on-call work. Daily travel to customer sites with occasional out-of-town assignments is required.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of structured cabling or low-voltage experience.
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN systems and cabling standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Install Category 3, Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber-optic cabling systems.
  • Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, and test cables to industry standards.
  • Install outlets, connectors, grounding infrastructure, and fire stopping.
  • Test and troubleshoot copper and single-mode/multi-mode fiber.
  • Perform copper and fiber splicing, including mechanical and fusion splicing.
  • Identify active circuits and remove abandoned cabling.
  • Follow ANSI, EIA/TIA, BICSI, NEC, and local standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE.

Job Description

Structured Cabling / Low Voltage Technician, Tempe, AZ

We are seeking a Structured Cabling Technician to install, maintain, test, and repair voice, data, video, and fiber-optic cabling systems at customer locations. This is a hands-on, field-basedposition working under the direction of a Lead Technician.

Pay: $23-$30 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time; occasional evenings, weekends, overtime, and on-call work may be required

Travel: Daily travel to customer sites, with occasional out-of-town assignments

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel to job sites and work occasional extended hours
  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
