Job summary

TeamLINX seeks a Structured Cabling/Low Voltage Lead Technician for full-time travel across Monroe, LA, and other sites nationwide. You will supervise crews, plan manpower, read blueprints, and ensure safety and project deadlines while delivering high-quality cabling installations.

Travel is 100% with all expenses covered; benefits include 401K match, medical plans, and PTO. Strong English communication and low-voltage tools proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong supervisory experience on construction projects.
  • Ability to plan manpower needs and manage material/labor through completion.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and leading crews of 5+ technicians.

This role requires 100% full-time travel to Monroe, LA, Conesville, OH, Montgomery, AL and other project sites nationwide. All travel expenses are covered by the company.

Job Summary:

The Structured Cabling/ Low Voltage Lead Technician plays a key role in onsite project coordination within commercial construction environments .

Reporting to the Project Foreman and Project Manager, this role ensures structured cabling projects stay on track by managing daily tasks, supervising crews, and meeting project goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned projects, directing the work of 5+ technicians and ensuring daily goals are met.
  • Plan site manpower needs and manage material and labor through job completion.
  • Set crew objectives, track progress, and report updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with HR, safety, and company policies while meeting project deadlines.
  • Maintain technical, quality, and profitability standards , ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee account coordination, including direct customer interaction and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and communicate status reports , keeping customers and Project Managers informed.
  • Expertise in cabling standards with the ability to lead projects, delegate tasks, and supervise teams of 5+ technicians .
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and managing all aspects of project planning .
  • Strong communication skills (& verbal) with a focus on accurate timesheet management and efficiency.
  • Terminate jacks, patch panels, 66/110 blocks , and follow 568A/B color codes .
  • Use Fluke testers to verify connections and troubleshoot voice/data issues.
  • Install and configure switches, routers, modems, and wireless access points .
  • Work with category cable, COAX, fiber (RG6, RG11, RG59) , build out closets, and operate Hilti guns, hammer drills, band saws, and power tools .
  • Ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder.
  • Must own low voltage tools ( strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
  • Able to work 2nd /3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
  • Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Certifications (not required)

  • BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
  • OSHA 10
  • Powder Actuated Tools Certification
  • Confined Space Certification
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
  • Lift Certified
  • High School diploma, Associate’s degree or technical degree a plus

Pay Rate:

$24.00 - $35.00/ hr
