Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling Installer to assist Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. You will handle materials, install and dismantle low voltage carrier systems, and maintain clean workspaces.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, construction/electrical experience, a valid license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with help. Visa sponsorship not offered.

Structured Cabling Installer

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Structured Cabling Installer that will be responsible for safely assisting Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems , preparing work areas, and cleaning of workspaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
• Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)
• Lift, position, and fasten objects
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by electrical trades
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
• Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Some construction and/or electrical experience
• Current driver’s license
• Limited ability to read and interpret documents (safety regulations, blueprints, etc.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions
• Ability to work safely with electrical equipment
