Job summary

Spring ISD Hirsch ES in Spring, Texas seeks a Structured Behavior Support (SBS) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This exempt, 187-day position reports to the Principal and starts immediately.

The SBS Teacher will support students with challenging behaviors, implement behavior plans, coordinate ARD/IEP services, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure instructional progress and a safe learning environment within both general and special education settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.
• One year of student teaching or approved internship (preferred).
• Texas teaching certificate with general education content endorsements (preferred).
• CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements behavioral services with fidelity and data-driven adjustments.
• Implements instructional program with accommodations and modifications as required.
• Serves as Case Manager for ARD/IEP processes and progress monitoring.
• Coordinates and communicates with families, staff, and administrators about student progress.
• Maintains confidential records and end-of-year evaluations; supports SBS team activities.
• Fulfills campus duties and oversees SBS paraprofessionals and crisis interventions.
