Job summary

Katy ISD King Elementary is seeking a SPED - Structured Autism aide to provide clerical, instructional and student-care support. The role includes assisting with instructional activities, maintaining records, and helping students with disabilities under the supervision of the principal.

Starting immediately, the position is full-time with duties that may involve lifting and positioning, CPI strategies where needed, and collaboration with teachers and substitutes.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of general office equipment.
• Valid CPI certification preferred (can be obtained after employment).
• Flexibility to work with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Clerical, instructional and student-care duties as assigned.
• Adhere to policies for special education aides.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program.
• Assist in maintaining student records and data collection.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Physically assist students as required by IEPs and therapies.
