Job summary

Alfa Laval in Oklahoma is seeking a Team Lead to coordinate daily work, monitor performance, and drive improvements within a manufacturing cell in Broken Arrow, OK. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on problem solving as part of a dedicated team.

You will work with welders, operators and support functions to maintain smooth production, train and coach team members, and implement SOPs and continuous improvement ideas on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with relevant experience.
• 1 year of experience from Alfa Laval production/manufacturing/distribution.
• Training skills and office computer literacy.
• Good knowledge of SOPs and processes within the team.
• Reading blueprints and basic math including tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the daily work of the team/shift.
• Monitor processes and performance within the team/shift.
• Be a link between the team, support functions and TM.
• Develop knowledge of key processes and tools within the cell.
• Drive meetings and daily work planning for the cell.
• Support team members with problem solving when needed.

About the job

As a Team Lead, you will coordinate and supportthe daily work.Overview of the order/task situation, focusing on containment and corrective actions during order/task execution time frame.

Team Leader is not a manager. This position is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. As a part of the team, you will:

• Coordinate and support the daily work of theteam/shift
• Monitorprocesses and performance in theteam/shift
• Be a linkbetween the team,support functionsand TM
• Develop andhave goodknowledge of the key processes and tools within the cell
• Closecompetence gaps by training/coachingand running SOPaudit dialogues
• Control of quality, deviations and line stopstogether with TM
• Focus on waste elimination and improvements
• Drive meetings within cell(shift handover, cell meeting)
• Conduct daily work as ateam member
• Makeand follow updetailedplanfor the cell
• When needed supportteam memberswith immediate problem solving

What you know:

• High school diploma or GED preferred with relevant experience, and:
• 1 year of experience fromAlfa Lavalproduction/manufacturing/distribution
• Training skills.
• Office computer skills.
• Good knowledge of SOPs and processes within the team
• Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints required.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), if PAPR is required
• Minimum 5 years of experience using multiple welding and cutting processes
• Manufacturing experience required; industry background preferred
• Proficient in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use
• Experienced with hand tools, drill/saw machinery, and overhead crane operation
• Forklift certification preferred
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate: Able to coordinate
• Have leadership ability
• Able to motivatepeople
• Have high integrity

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use): Regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally; 30 lbs of force frequently
• Stand or walk for 80% of the workday
• Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure): Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs
• Exposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels. No climate-controlled environment.
• Work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals
• Encounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation
• Operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageway
• Communicate effectively through speech and hearing
