Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a production team member to assemble components into finished products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow blueprints, use hand and power tools, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean workspace while collaborating with teammates.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with relevant experience, plus the ability to read drawings and follow SOPs. Crane or forklift certifications are a plus, with 2–3 years in manufacturing and basic computer

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components to build finished products following blueprints and instructions.
  • Operate hand and power tools, perform quality checks, document processes, maintain a clean workspace and collaborate with teams.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Receive daily work assignments and execute production per SOPs and blueprints.
  • Participate in Daily Status Board Meetings and explain deviations, propose solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Look for cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes and add value.
  • Use downtime to learn new processes and run improvements from status board activities.

About The Job

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Put components together to build finished products, requiring strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to follow blueprints/instructions in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Use hand/power tools, perform quality checks, document processes, maintain a clean workspace, and collaborate with teams, often involving repetitive tasks.
  • Accurately and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Uniform, and others as required by the specific process).
  • Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader / Team Manager and execute production with Standard Operating Procedures and blueprints as a base.
  • Be active and engaged in the Daily Status Board Meetings by explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Constantly look for cross‑training opportunities within different manufacturing processes and better ways to add value.
  • Use downtime efficiently to learn new processes and run improvements from the status board activities.
Qualifications

You have a High School degree or GED Certificate with relevant experience, and:

  • Crane or forklift certifications are nice to have.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (machines, equipment, jig, fixtures, measuring instruments, etc.).
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders, etc.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Salary

The base salary for this role is: $23.50/hr.
