Job summary

Alfa Laval seeks a Welder I in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, OK to lay out, fit, tack and weld steel components per blueprints. Use MIG/TIG welding, grinders, plasma cutters, and drills to ensure precision and clean finishes.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, welding sequences, quality inspection, measuring to tolerances, and maintaining tools and workspace. Candidates should have a HS diploma/GED and at least 1 year welding experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience using Mig or Tig welding.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) if PAPR is required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use.
• Basic math skills and tape measure reading.
• Experience with hand tools, drill/saw machinery, and overhead crane operation.
• Forklift certification preferred.

About the job

As a Welder I , you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, tacking, and welding steel components and assemblies in accordance with blueprint specifications. Using a range of power tools and welding equipment, you'll ensure precision, structural integrity, and a clean finish free of undercuts and weld spatter. Your work must meet strict dimensional and aesthetic standards, contributing directly to product quality and organizational success.

This position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and/or Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Interpret blueprints and follow instructions to execute weld procedures
• Operate mig and/or tig welders, stick welding, grinders, plasma cutters, drill presses, and other tools
• Familiar with welding carbon and aluminium steel
• Assemble and weld parts with precision using clamps, bolts, and tack welds
• Plan layouts and welding sequences for structural integrity and safety
• Inspect and correct welds to meet quality standards
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and complete preventive checklists
• Support material handling, loading/unloading, and workstation supply
• Assist team leaders and train others as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout shift
• Crosstrain across departments to expand skillset
• Ability to use and operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric

What you know :

• You have High School diploma or GED, preferred , with relevant experience, and:
• Minimum 1 year experience using mig or tig welding
