Qualifications

• MOT certifications at an advanced level are preferred.

STRUCTURES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full‑time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Orlando, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Full bilingual Spanish/English
• Roadway maintenance or construction skills
• MOT Certifications Advanced
• General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures
• CDL license preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Must have transportation to and from Company office
• Clean driving record essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule

Full‑time. Must be flexible and available to work on‑call when required. Day shift & night shift needed.

Salary

Depends on experience, licenses, and certifications.
