Responsibilities include roadway construction and maintenance, adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and compliance with Jorgensen company policies and procedures. The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the company office

Position Summary

Jorgensen is hiring a full‑time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Orlando, FL area. Responsibilities include roadway construction and maintenance, adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and compliance with Jorgensen company policies and procedures.

Requirements & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the company office
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
• Basic arithmetic skills and use of safety equipment
• Adaptability to changing work schedules, including overtime, nights, and weekends, and different weather conditions

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Full bilingual Spanish/English
• Roadway maintenance or construction skills
• MOT Certifications – Advanced
• General knowledge of reading and understanding plans and specifications for structures
• CDL license preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with smartphones and related applications

Qualifications

• Ability to take direction and produce quality work efficiently
• Agree to comply with all safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools safely and properly
• Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedules, work overtime, nights, and weekends
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand and power tools

Schedule

Full‑time. Requires flexibility for on‑call work and availability during day and night shifts.
