Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certification preferred.
• 2+ years welding experience, preferably with .045 wire welding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documents.
• Ability to read weld symbols and use measuring tools accurately.
• Commitment to workplace safety; OSHA training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and work orders.
• Lay out, align, position, and secure parts and assemblies using appropriate measuring tools.
• Select proper tooling and fixturing and determine the welding sequence.
• Assemble and weld metal components using various welding equipment.
• Prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, scale, slag, grease, moisture, and contaminants.
• Operate hoists, cranes, rigging, dollies, and other equipment to move materials safely.
• Inspect and measure completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring tools, tapes, straightedges, and blueprints to verify dimensions.
• Complete required production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow company safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
