Job summary

Legacy Building Solutions in Indiana is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing and assembly team. You will weld structural beams, read blueprints, and verify joints to ensure conformance with specifications.

You will set up parts, clamp, tack-weld, grind, and monitor processes to avoid warping. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; welding certificate or 1 year experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Operates welding equipment to weld structural beams using gas metal arc or submerged arc processes
• Reads blueprints and welding procedures to ensure alignment with specs
• Clamps, tack-welds, and grinds parts to achieve correct joint configurations
• Monitors fitting and welding to prevent warping or distortion
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and uses tools safely
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts prior to welding
