Job summary

Indiana Steel Fabricating, Inc. seeks an experienced Welder for our Hope, Indiana facility. This full-time, in-person role emphasizes safety, precision, attendance, and high-quality structural steel work.

The Welder will read blueprints, set up welding machines, and work with welding procedures to meet AWS D1.1 standards. Expect 10-hour shifts Mon-Thu and a six-hour shift on Fridays, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of welding experience preferred.
• Excellent attendance is mandatory; punctuality required.
• Familiarity with welding equipment and fundamentals.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and PPE requirements.
• Operate an overhead crane and move materials safely.
• Prepare and set up welding machines at shift start.
• Repair and correct welding discontinuities per quality control.
• Communicate supply and consumable needs to area lead.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine upkeep.
