Austin Industries, Inc. seeks a Welder - Structural to join our fabrication team. You will read blueprints and work orders and join steel components using multiple welding processes to produce strong, code-compliant welds.

Responsibilities include preparing welds, preheating parts, adjusting gas-oxygen flows, cleaning joints, and removing slag. Requires 2–4 years journeyman experience and a valid driver's license; no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Experience: 2–4 years journeyman level experience.
• Certification/License: Valid Driver's License.
• Work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Join steel components or metal plates using welding procedures.
• Use Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, GTAW, SAW or SMAW welding processes.
• Prepare welds by preheating and adjusting gas/air flow.
• Clean and degrease weld joints and remove excess weld material.
• Work at heights on ladders or scaffolds and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain safe work area and perform other duties as assigned.
