Job summary

At Cibes|Symmetry in Peoria, IL, we are seeking a Structural Welder to weld high-quality metal components to specification. You will read specs, set up MIG and TIG equipment, and deliver precise welds with attention to detail. Some fabrication may be required.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of welding experience, can read blueprints, and is able to lift heavy materials. High school diploma or GED is required, with health and safety standards strictly followed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding experience, structural welding preferred.
• Proficient with MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting work orders, specs, and blueprints.
• Setting up and operating MIG and/or TIG welding equipment.
• Welding structural components with a high level of craftsmanship.
• Finishing workpieces using grinders and welding tools.
• Inspecting welds for quality and conformance to tolerances.
• Following all safety and quality standards.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
