Job summary

Trillium Construction in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Structural Welder to fabricate and weld steel BESS housing cabinets.

You will work primarily with 3/8-inch steel, welding, fitting bases for forklift movement, and hoisting components while following drawings and project specs. Expect 10–12 hour shifts, a 8-week schedule, and a $42/hour pay rate with $160 per diem if you work all scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural welder.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Experience welding 3/8-inch steel or equivalent heavy structural material.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to produce clean, strong, consistent welds.
• Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Weld BESS storage housing cabinets.
• Weld and install structural bases for forklift/pallet jack movement.
• Weld lifting eyes and other hoisting components.
• Perform quality structural MIG welds per project specs.
• Read and work from basic drawings and fabrication instructions.

Trillium Construction is seeking experiencedStructural Weldersto fabricate and weld steel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) housing cabinets in the Houston, TX area!

Welders will be working primarily with3/8-inch steeland will be responsible for structural welding and fabrication work, including:

• -Welding BESS storage housing cabinets.
• -Welding and installing structural bases that allow cabinets to be moved with aforklift or pallet jack.
• -Weldinglifting eyesand other structural components used for hoisting.
• -Performing quality structural MIG welds according to project requirements.
• -Reading and working from basic drawings, layouts, measurements, or fabrication instructions as required.
• -Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Work is Monday-Friday, working 10-12 hours days.Pay is up to $42 an hour depending on experience.Per diem is $160 all 7 days if all scheduled shifts are worked.Work is scheduled for 8 week.

Required Experience

Must have:

• -Proven experience as astructural welder.
• -StrongMIG weldingexperience.
• -Experience welding3/8-inch steelor comparable heavy structural material.
• -Experience with structural steel fabrication and assembly.
• -Ability to produce clean, strong, consistent structural welds.
• -Ability to work extended shifts and maintain productivity throughout a 10–12 hour workday.
• -Must be willing to complete abasic on-site weld test.
• -Must provide and properly use required personal welding PPE and hand tools.
• -Must be willing to passpre-employment drug screening and background check.
