Job summary

Genesis Staffing is seeking motivated Structural Fitter/Welders to join the client on the shop floor in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux welding experience and can read blueprints. Pay is $20–$25 per hour.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 6 AM–4:30 PM with Sat 6 AM until done. Zip code 77064. Responsibilities include reading prints, setting up equipment, welding in various positions, inspecting welds, and maintaining tools.

Qualifications

• Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Flux and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
• Familiarity with welding safety procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of welding and fitting work.
• Measure and mark materials for welding and fitting.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and fit metal components.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
• Clean and maintain welding equipment.
