Job summary

Southwest - Carlton Staffing seeks a dependable Structural Welder for the East Houston area. You will perform Flux Core welding on large structural components in a heavy industrial shop, following drawings and welding symbols.

Overtime and occasional Saturday work may be required based on production needs. Requirements include at least 6 months of FCAW experience in structural welding and comfort working in a heavy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

We're hiring a Structural Welder for our East Houston area client! We are looking for dependable welders with hands-on structural Flux Core welding experience who are ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Structural Welder DAYS
Location: East Houston, TX 77015
Pay: $18.00–$25.00/hour (based on experience and weld test results)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00AM–5:30PM (Overtime available with occasional Saturdays as needed; Saturday work is typically communicated on Thursdays)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties: Perform Flux Core (FCAW) welding on structural steel components and fabricated assemblies in an industrial shop environment. Read and follow fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions to properly position and weld structural components. Inspect completed welds for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs while maintaining established production and safety standards.

Requirements: Minimum 6 months of hands-on Flux Core (FCAW) structural welding experience required. Candidates must have experience welding structural steel, heavy fabrication, or similar large fabricated components. This position is not a pipe welding or small-parts welding role, and candidates whose experience is primarily limited to pipe or small-component welding may not be a fit. Must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial fabrication environment and successfully completing the client's required weld test.
