Qualifications

• 2–4 years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience.
• Must pass a 3G weld test.
• MIG and Flux Core welding proficiency.
• Experience welding with 1/16-inch wire.
• Gouging experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding specs.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication practices.
• Able to move and position large steel components.
• Work well in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding using 1/16-inch wire.
• Welding in the 3G position with quality welds and proper penetration.
• Gouge and prepare welds and metal surfaces as required.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and project specs.
• Safely move, position, and secure structural steel components during fabrication.
