Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Structural Welder to join a manufacturing environment in Irving, TX. The role involves welding, fabricating, assembling, and repairing structural steel per blueprints and safety requirements. Shifts run 5am–5pm or 5pm–5am.

This temporary assignment runs Oct 2026 through Dec 2026 with pay of $30–$35 per hour. Site training and welder certifications are required; OSHA and other certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Welding certificate or technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of structural welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Weld structural steel components using MIG, FCAW, SMAW, and/or other approved welding processes.
• Set up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Fit, align, and position structural steel components prior to welding.
• Measure and inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, and weld quality.
• Perform grinding, cutting, beveling, drilling, and other metal fabrication activities.
• Inspect welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and other defects.
• Make necessary repairs or adjustments to welds and fabricated components.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe operating condition.
• Follow company welding procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
