Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Ohio. You will weld carbon and stainless steel, read blueprints, and fabricate components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong attention to detail, math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include planning work, assembling fixtures, inspecting welds, and keeping the work area clean.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete a manual welding test; welds judged on function and aesthetics.
• Strong MIG welding experience for carbon and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints.
• Previous fabrication experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with measuring devices: calipers, scales, gauges, micrometers.
• Demonstrated safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand safety features to ensure machines operate without compromising safety systems.
• Follow safety protocol including protective gear usage.
• Plan work order procedures and gather necessary tools and materials.
• Fabricate and construct metal and steel components.
• Assess welding positions and methods per job specifications.
• Maintain welding fixtures and tooling in good working order.
• Read and follow work instructions and engineering blueprints.
• Visually inspect weld quality and use inspection tools to confirm specs.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
