Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX is seeking a Structural Welder to fabricate the framing for sheet metal enclosure buildings using FCAW. You will weld structural steel (c-channels) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and ensure parts are aligned per work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either a formal welding apprenticeship or 2+ years of dual shield welding experience, plus AWS D1.1 FCAW certification. Second shift, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, with PPE provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan details of work orders and gather tools/materials.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts before welding.
• Weld structural steel (c-channels) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, or tack weld parts to achieve configurations.
• Determine equipment and welding techniques using metallurgy knowledge.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area; report faulty tools or materials.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
