Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Starship Structural Test team to design, analyze, and fabricate large steel and concrete structures that endure flight-like loads. You will work closely with rocket engineers, contribute to test article development, and ensure fabrication readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience in large-scale structural systems, with preference for advanced degrees and licensure (SE/PE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in the engineering of composite steel and concrete structural systems used in large buildings, bridges, nuclear containment, test systems, or other large-scale applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise in designing, analyzing, and fabricating large composite steel and concrete structures.
• Collaborate with vehicle and test engineers to develop test structures from conception, considering loads and boundary conditions.
• Provide fabrication planning and on-site fabrication support.
