Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a structures-focused Mechanical Engineer to own the design and delivery of critical production infrastructure at Starbase. You will work on large-scale steel structures, factory support systems, ground support equipment, and tooling structures that endure heavy loads and rapid operational cycles.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical/structural/aerospace engineering and 1+ years of experience in structural design or analysis of steel structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, structural, or aerospace engineering.
• 1+ years of professional experience in structural design or analysis of steel structures or similar large systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design of Starship production infrastructure across scales.
• Perform structural analysis for steel, concrete, and composites under various loads.
• Develop structural drawings, fabrication packages, and erection sequences.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, facilities, and construction teams to integrate systems.
• Support fabrication, welding, and field issue resolution during installation.
