Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Structural Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality adherence. You will oversee subcontractors, material and equipment, and enforce safety as a core value.

Responsibilities include leading Foremen, coordinating daily work plans, managing permits and lift/form systems, and maintaining strong communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in construction and concrete industries.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and report accidents and near-misses.
• Oversee Carpenter Foremen, Pile Foremen, and project operations for bridges and concrete structures.
• Coordinate daily work plans and project requirements for personnel and equipment.
• Provide guidance to Project Engineers, Field Engineers and Foremen.
• Develop lift plans, form systems, and support for excavations and demolition plans.
• Schedule construction equipment and manage outside rental equipment with Dispatch.
• Coordinate subcontractors per work schedule and verify receipt/shipments of materials.
• Develop 3 Week Schedules to plan labor, equipment, material, and Survey needs.
• Create Daily Work Plans to coordinate labor and equipment.
• Review man-hour reports weekly.
• Coordinate labor and equipment needs with Senior Supervisors and Construction Dispatcher.
• Review field operations daily and attend project planning meetings.
• Attend weekly toolbox meetings and internal preconstruction meetings.
• Interface with salaried and hourly team members to address issues and recognize performance.
• Annually review Foremen and hourly team members for performance.
• Promote daily huddles.
