Job summary

Wallace Design Collective is seeking a Structural Summer Intern in Atlanta to work with our team on real commercial, educational, healthcare, and residential projects across the country. You’ll assist in structural modeling, analysis, and documentation while learning the practical steps from concept to standing structures.

You will gain hands-on experience using RAM, RISA-3D, ETABS and Revit, performing design calculations under licensed PE/SE supervision, and engaging in intern learning

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a structural concentration
• Experience with structural analysis and basic design
• Familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD or similar software

Responsibilities

• Assist in generating structural model geometry, gravity load, and lateral load analyses using RAM, RISA-3D, or ETABS
• Draft and model structural components (steel, concrete, masonry, wood) in Revit
• Perform foundational design calculations for beams, columns, foundations, and connections under PE/SE guidance
• Interpret building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS) for wind, seismic, snow, and dead/live loads
• Participate in intern learning sessions, project team meetings and potential site visits
