Job summary

Tradesmen International, LLC is actively seeking experienced Structural Steel Welders for projects in and around San Antonio, TX. This is a first shift role with pay ranging from $28 to $30 per hour, based on experience and skill level. You will weld heavy structural steel components, read blueprints, and ensure quality and compliance with AWS D1.5 standards while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy structural steel or bridge welding experience.
• Proficiency in FCAW welding processes.
• Ability to read weld symbols, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• FCAW and/or FCAW-G certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW ( Flux-Cored Arc Welding ), FCAW-G, SMAW, and SAW welding on structural steel components.
• Weld bridge girders, beams, plates, and other heavy structural steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with AWS D1.5 bridge welding standards.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experiencedStructural Steel Welders for projects located in or around San Antonio, TX. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $28-$30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), FCAW-G, SMAW, and SAW welding on structural steel components


• Weld bridge girders, beams, plates, and other heavy structural steel components


• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)


• Perform multi-pass groove welds, fillet welds, and full-penetration welds


• Execute carbon arc gouging, weld preparation, and shear stud welding


• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with AWS D1.5 bridge welding standards


• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting production requirements and safety standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of heavy structural steel or bridge welding experience


• Proficiency in FCAW welding processes


• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and shop drawings


• FCAW and/or FCAW-G certifications required


• 1G–3G welding certifications preferred


• Ability to lift materials and work around heavy machinery


• Experience operating around overhead cranes preferred


• Must have reliable transportation


• Must be able to travel within 60 miles of San Antonio, TX
