Job summary

Qualifications

Certification in UT or VT and hands-on welding inspection experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Willingness to progress toward AWS CWI certification.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel and fabricated components.
Inspect welds, fit-ups and finished assemblies against drawings, specifications and applicable welding standards.
Review shop drawings, weld symbols and fabrication documentation.
Identify defects, nonconformances and quality issues, working with production teams to resolve them.
Use measuring tools, gauges and inspection equipment to verify fabrication accuracy.
Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality control documentation.
Collaborate with welders, fitters, production supervisors and engineering teams to maintain quality standards.
