Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a role focused on structural steel and bridge fabrication in New York. The position is full-time, permanent, and on-site, offering hands-on inspection with the potential to progress toward AWS CWI certification.

The ideal candidate will perform visual and dimensional inspections, review welding documentation, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on welding inspection experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills
• Willingness to develop towards AWS CWI certification

Responsabilités

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel and fabricated components.
• Inspect welds, fit-ups and finished assemblies against drawings, specifications and welding standards.
• Review shop drawings, weld symbols and fabrication documentation.
• Identify defects, nonconformances and quality issues, working with production teams to resolve them.
• Use measuring tools, gauges and inspection equipment to verify fabrication accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate with welders, fitters, production supervisors and engineering teams to maintain quality standards.
