Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Manager for structural steel erection in Milwaukee, WI. You will own projects from award to completion, coordinating labor, equipment, and subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural steel, reads drawings well, and can manage budgets and schedules. A related degree is preferred, with strong client communication and MS Office/Bluebeam proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel
• Experience managing commercial construction projects for a GC or specialty contractor
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple structural steel erection and fabrication projects from award through completion
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and field operations
• Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Produce project progress reports, financial forecasts, and billing updates
