Sure Steel, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager I for structural steel fabrication and erection in Des Moines, IA.

The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing projects with senior staff to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction project management within steel fabrication/erection, strong organization and communication skills, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in structural steel fabrication and/or erection.
• Ability to read structural and shop drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours.

Aufgaben

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets with teams.
• Coordinate with detailers, erection subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Review specifications and drawings for alignment with requirements.
• Monitor progress against schedules and budgets.
• Conduct shop and site visits to verify safety and quality.
• Prepare and distribute status reports to management.
• Manage project expenses and variances.
