Job summary

Endres Manufacturing Company is seeking a dependable Material Handler for our Structural Steel Department in Arlington, WI. Shift options include 1st shift 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 2nd shift 3:15 p.m. – 1:45 a.m., Monday through Friday or Monday through Thursday respectively.

You will move, stage, and organize steel using overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment, identify shapes/sizes, and support production for operators, fabricators, and welders in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, remote hoists, forklifts, and hand tools.
• Strong understanding of material-handling safety and hazard awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and organize structural steel using cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
• Identify steel shapes and sizes (beams, angles, channels, pipe, tube).
• Move long-length steel with forklifts, not palletized material.
• Support production by staging steel for operators, fabricators, and welders.
• Load and unload trucks carrying structural steel and related materials.
• Verify incoming steel against purchase orders and document shortages or damage.
• Maintain labeling, organization, and rotation of steel materials.
• Assist with physical inventory counts.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments and adapt to weather conditions.
• Use a tape measure daily and pass an on-site measurement test.
• Follow safety procedures and proper PPE and rigging practices.
• Contribute to a clean, organized work area and learn basic machine operations.
