Allied Steel Buildings in Texas seeks a Material Handler – Structural Steel / Overhead Crane Operator to safely move beams and assemblies across the production floor, using indoor gantry cranes and rigging equipment. You will support fabrication, welding, and shipping by delivering materials accurately and efficiently, maintaining safety and awareness at all times.

The role requires 2+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with overhead/gantry cranes,

Competenze

• Minimum 2+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing or structural steel environment preferred.
• Experience operating overhead or gantry cranes strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of rigging practices and load handling preferred.

Mansioni

• Operate indoor gantry cranes to move structural steel beams, plates, and assemblies throughout the facility.
• Safely rig, lift, and position steel materials using slings, chains, chokers, and other rigging equipment.
• Load and unload materials from fabrication areas, workstations, and staging zones.
• Stage and organize materials for production and outbound shipment.
• Inspect rigging equipment and crane functionality prior to use and report any issues.
• Coordinate with production, welding, and logistic teams to meet daily production goals.
