Job summary

Atlas Staffing is seeking a full-time Structural Steel Machine Operator for a well-established steel fabrication company in Spokane, WA. You will operate structural fabrication equipment, read blueprints, and help meet production goals with safety in mind.

Qualified candidates have experience with plasma burn tables or similar machinery, strong math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a manufacturing setting. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating structural steel fabrication equipment.
• Experience with plasma burn tables, beam lines, press brakes, plate processing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC plasma and oxy-fuel burn tables and other fabrication equipment.
• Set up machines, adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and material placement.
• Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to process steel components.
• Measure and inspect finished parts for quality and tolerances.
• Load and unload steel materials safely using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
